Are you passionate about serving veterans? Put that passion into action. Here are a few ways to get started.
Get involved with our Welcome Home Kit program. Often when veterans move into new homes, they have nothing. Help veterans get a bed and the supplies they need to succeed in their new place. Reach out to the HUD-VASH Social Workers at your local VA to let them know you want to help.
Become a volunteer at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Each year thousands of veterans pass through VA facilities on their way to recovery. Show them you care by contributing your time to your local VA.
Help veterans experiencing homelessness. Drop off supplies at a local veterans transitional center or homeless shelter. Cook a meal. Teach a class. Spend time with residents. Veterans who are homeless deserve a hand up from their community to help them get back on their feet.

Don’t have time to contribute right now but want to help?. Set up a monthly donation to the Elks National Foundation and direct your gift to the "Veterans Fund." Your gift will provide support for our programs, which serve veterans all over the country.
