Three years ago, as his Lodge was struggling to meet the GER’s per-capita goal, Dave Sieker volunteered to take over as ENF chair. “We’re a bigger Lodge, and sometimes it can be hard to get a large number of members involved. I wanted to change this,” Dave explains. Since then, their per capita has jumped from $1.01 per member in 2002 to more than $30 per member this year.

A self-proclaimed proponent of the electronic age, Dave welcomed the opportunity to electronically submit remittances to the ENF. “It saves me time, and it saves the Foundation time,” explains Dave. “And it allows for the donors to receive acknowledgement of their gift even sooner.”

With everything Dave has on his plate, it’s no wonder he welcomes time-saving opportunities! He’s the state chair for Ohio Elks charities, organizing state-wide raffles to raise money. He served as his Lodge’s Hoop Shoot chair for more than 12 years and still helps out with his Lodge Hoop Shoot and organizes kids’ parties at the Lodge.
