Dennis Bagley
Albany, NY Lodge No. 49
For Dennis Bagley, Elkdom is a family affair. His father was a member before him, and his brothers, wife and sons all currently belong to Albany Lodge. He’s been helping out at the Lodge since he was young, and two years ago he took over the position as ENF Chair for his Lodge. “I truly believe the ENF is what being an Elk is all about,” Dennis says. As a veteran, the ENF veterans program is especially close to his heart.

Dennis describes his biggest challenge as meeting and surpassing the GER’s per-capita goal. Last year his Lodge barely met the goal, and this year they’ve already doubled it! He encourages members to donate by including articles about the ENF in his Lodge newsletter each month, and planning events such as the Dinner Dance he held in honor of ENF month.

When he’s not busy with his ENF responsibilities, Dennis serves as Chair for both his Lodge’s Christmas Activities Committee and Most Valuable Student Program. He admits that he doesn’t do it all alone, and credits his wife Kate with helping him. Although Dennis acknowledges that his ENF responsibilities take him away from time with his 1948 Harley, he wouldn’t give it up for anything. “I love doing it,” he says. And we’re lucky to have him.
