The Kansas Elks Training Center for the Handicapped, Inc. (KETCH) offers a comprehensive set of supports through our programs and services. All of our programs are designed to meet the unique needs of adults with developmental disabilities whether it be daily life skills training, development of vocational skills, or assistance with in-home activities. KETCH is well-established as a leader in the rehabilitation industry with over 50 years of experience in integrating people with disabilities into mainstream community life. At KETCH it's important to us to help each person identify and live to their fullest potential.
Targeted Case Managers provide assistance in developing, coordinating, and monitoring specialized support. Individuals are assigned a Targeted Case Manager who serves as an advocate for the individual and the family. Targeted Case Managers often act as liasions between a variety of service providers and agencies. Targeted Case Managers may also assist with community employment options by referring individuals to Vocational Rehabilitation services.
Various day program options specifically designed to not only encourage educational, social, and physical experiences but community inclusion as well. Each day program is structured to meet the unique needs of each person whether the focus be on establishing skill sets, working through challenging behaviors, or providing a link to resources and activities in the community.
The founding philosophy of KETCH was that people with disabilities can and should work alongside co-workers without disabilities. The Work Services program offers diverse vocational opportunities that teach a variety of skills applicable to a traditional work environment should the individual transition into a job in the community.
At KETCH we believe with the right training, proper support, and assistive technology, people with disabilites can experience having a home of their own. A few different options are available for supports in a residential setting. Individuals can choose to continue living at their family's home, live in a group setting, or live independently in an apartment.
