Applications for the 2025 Most Valuable Student Scholarship are open until November 12, 2024. All high school seniors who are United States citizens are eligible to apply. From March 7 to 11, eight Elks scholars traveled to Philadelphia for the Spring Elks Scholar Service Trip. The scholars had diverse backgrounds, with some coming from towns of less than a few thousand people and others coming from some of the biggest cities in the country. Though the scholars had very different upbringings, they were able to see the beauty in their differences—while finding plenty of similarities.
In January, the first Elks Scholar Service Trip of 2024 was held in Phoenix. Led by Elks Scholar Fellow Libby Willkomm, the trip was the embodiment of what it means to be an Elks scholar.

2018 MVS scholar Aleah Hahn has found her place in the Elks family through Elks Scholar Service Trips. In 2018, she attended the 150 for 150 service trip in San Antonio, and this March, she made her way to Chicago for another one. Though the trips were different in size and place, they shared a few things in common: connection, service and a new experience.

This year, the Elks National Foundation will award 12 Service Grants to current Elks scholars. Grant applications for 2022 opened in January and close on February 22. This year's theme is "For the Kids." Winners will be announced by the end of February.

The 2022 Most Valuable Student scholarship application opened on August 2 and closed November 15. The 500 four-year scholarships are awarded based on academics, service, leadership and financial need. The ENF will announce the winners in late March.
The 2022 Legacy Awards contest launched on September 1, 2021. Legacy Awards are $4,000 scholarships for high school seniors who are the children and/or grandchildren of dues-paying Elks.

The two newest members of the Elks National Foundation’s staff are testaments to one of our biggest goals: that our program recipients become champions of the Order.
We are proud to announce the recipients of the 2020 Gunther and Lee Weigel Medical School Scholarship—Afeera Chaudhry, Dennis Youngs, Eric Xia, Iemaan Rana, Kevin Glover, Nicholas Balardi, Olivia Fuson and Victoria Cegielski. These eight Elks scholars will be achieving their dreams of becoming doctors thanks to the generosity of the late Mrs. Lee Weigel. Each scholar will receive $26,000 for medical school. She ran marathons, founded and edited peer-reviewed journals, published research, tutored and taught, and saved time to nurture her love of photography and playing the piano.

As the Alum of the Year, Jimmy will receive his award at the Grand Lodge Convention, and will be awarded a $500 grant to be donated to the nonprofit organization of his choice.
