This week our club room will be open:
Wednesday, October 2nd for Grill and Chill - The Grill will be up from 6 to 8 pm. For just $10, you can choose from 8 oz. New York Strip steak (limited amount) , a smoked pork chop, or a chicken breast to grill yourself. Also included in the meal is bread, a baked potato, and salad. You are encouraged to bring friends or family members interested in joining the Elks, as this is a membership drive night.
Thursday, October 3rd - Unfortunately, none of our regular volunteer bartenders are available. If there are any last-minute changes, we will update you via our Facebook page – Indianola, Iowa Elks Lodge #2814. Friday, October 4th for Karaoke Night - The club room opens at 5 pm and Karaoke is from 7 pm to 11 pm. Members and their invited guests are welcome to join the fun and show everyone what your best song is…

As always Happy Hour, prices at the bar are from 5 pm to 7 pm on weekdays.
If you are a member, a member's spouse, or member's child (that is at least 18 years-old) - you can help the lodge by becoming a trained volunteer bartender; contact a Trustee to learn how.
The Lodge is hosting a drive for the items listed below. Items can be new or gently used - children or adult sizes. All items collected will be donated to Helping Hand of Warren County and Grace Evangelical Free Church. Please drop items off at the Lodge starting Monday, 09/30/2024 through Friday, 10/18/2024.

You're warmly invited to our Oktoberfest Members' Dinner at the Lodge, October 12th starting at 6 PM. Open to Members and their Spouses/Significant Others only; Costumes optional. There will be games! RSVP to the Lodge bartender or text/call Brad Sinclair at (515) 490-0172 by 10/02/2024 and be sure to indicate whether you want a brat or a chicken dish.
The 2025 MVS contest is officially underway! The application deadline is November 12th. As a member your biggest priority now should be promoting the contest. Please share this email with any High School Senior that excels in leadership and scholarship. If you personally know a High School counselor share with them also. The MVS application link can be found at enf.elks.org/MVS. Applicants need to click the big, blue “Apply Now” button to get started. The 2025 MVS Leadership Weekend will be in Chicago May 1-4, 2025. The Top 20 scholars, selected from the 500 national semi-finalists, receive an invitation to the weekend and scholarships of $30,000. The 480 runners-up receive scholarships of $4,000. Attendance at Leadership Weekend is required to be part of the Top 20 cohort and receive $30,000.
