MARION, Ohio (9/8/03) – The former Marion Harding High School soccer practice field was the site for the first Marion Elks 32 Soccer Shoot competition. Several youngsters ages 8 through 13 competed in the September 6th soccer kicking contest. It is a two-stage contest designed to best represent the skill levels of the three age groups involved. This is the first year that the Marion Elks have sponsored this competition where youth can advance from the local level through district, state, regional and on to the national level. The local winners of each bracket will advance to the Elks North Central District Hoop Shoot Contest, scheduled for September 20th in Bucyrus, OH.
