MARION, Ohio (August 21, 2008) – The local Marion Elks Lodge No. 32 has secured a $400 Gratitude Grant from the Elks National Foundation (ENF) on behalf of the Vietnam Veterans Museum, Education and Reunion Center, Inc. As the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America, the ENF has a program called the Community Investments Program. Local Lodges that meet their pro capita giving goal are afforded an additional opportunity to build stronger communities via a gratitude grant. The grant check was presented to Benny Morris Commander of VFW Post 3313 and Wes Watt Secretary of VFW Post 3313, who are the Co-chairpersons of the Viet Nam Veterans Museum, Education and Reunion Center Inc. Representing the local Elks at the presentation were Marion F. Owens Jr, Marion Elks Veterans and National Foundation Chairperson, and Garrison "Muggs" McGinnis, Past Exalted Ruler and current Esquire of the local Elks Lodge.
