VOLUNTEER AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNIES AT THE LODGE:

A Message from Dana Smith

We've got a lot of fun things planned for our members in the next few months. We will need some volunteers to help. Please contact me or anyone on the House Committee. Here's the list:

1. Halloween Costume Party for the kiddos on October 25th. We need help decorating this year as Ashley is not available.

2. Saturday lunches start November 2nd. Contact John Hickman and pick which Saturday you would like to cook your favorite meal. ALSO, we would like to have some volunteer bartenders for Saturday lunches. Let's bring back that old tradition!! It's always a good time. 3. Veterans Day dinner Saturday night November 9th. Jordan will be smoking a pig. Veterans eat for

free.

4. Members Open House Christmas Party December 14. There will be an RSVP sign up and sign up

for the dish you are bringing.

5. NEW YEARS EVE -steak and lobster. We have already booked DJ Kay.

6. BIG MONEY BLOW OUT tickets are being printed already. They would make the perfect "stocking

stuffer" for Christmas. We are making plans already for next year's event. Our first year was such a

HUGE success, we can't wait for May 2025!!!!!!

7. We are moving karaoke to Friday nights again in the next couple weeks. Let's not forget the Queen of Hearts will be making her appearance October 2nd.

I would like to thank all of our members that volunteer, and our staff that does an amazing job. Remember the infra structure of our #1624 is to provide a service to our members and their families, and to donate back to our community. We would not be able to do this without the help of

everyone.

BINGO VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

The Elks sponsors Bingo for the community on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each

month. There are numerous opportunities for volunteers to help either on a regular basis or occasionally. Many volunteers are needed. The fellowship is great!

Please contact chairperson Merry White: cell-410-422-2785 or by email at merrywhite807@gmail.com if you would like to help with Bingo or if you would like to

help with Friday night desserts to support Relay for Life.

HELP NEEDED:

As cooler weather approaches and the busier season starts, we are looking for help in the kitchen and behind the bar. If you are interested or know anyone that would be interested, please come see Jordan or have them call the lodge to contact him. 410-
