Holloway, age 18, is the son of John and Angie Holloway of Ely. Curto, age 19, is the daughter of Ken and Terri Curto of Ely. Both are seniors at White Pine High School.The Student of the Month program is sponsored by the Elks Lodge in an effort to bring recognition to outstanding students in the area.Students of the Month are selected by a panel of their peers in each participating high school within the jurisdiction of the sponsoring lodge. Multiple achievement, citizenship, scholarship, and leadership are the basis for selection of Students of the Month.Holloway has been active in soccer, basketball, baseball, and the WPHS Choir. His hobbies are playing sports, watching television and movies, listening to music, playing on his computer, going to drives, camping and hanging out with friends.Curto has been a member of the WPHS Bobketts dance team for three years. She has been active in soccer, the Drama Club and as a member of Student's Voice. She has played for softball leagues, been a member of Girl Scouts, the White Pine Singers, and a cheerleader for White Pine Middle School. Curto has danced with the Pure Talent Dance Studio and won first place hip hop and second place jazz awards with that studio. She was awarded the “lots of hearts” award for Bobketts and was awarded second place in the Science Fair competition. Her hobbies are dancing, listening to music, working on the Polar Express, community service and hanging out with friends.
