As the first full-length trip after 2020 cancellations and the mini series of summer 2021, the Elks National Foundation welcomed 11 scholars to Windy City March 15-18, 2022. Click here to learn more about our scholars and where they traveled from. Scholars stayed at the Chicago Getaway Hostel in Lincoln Park and connected with the community through volunteering and fun. Scholars served with Lincoln Park Community Services, Lakeview Food Pantry, and Care for Friends. Outside their time doing service, they explored Chicago by seeing a show at Second City Theatre, seeing downtown, and eating classic Chicago pizza! The evenings were spent reconnecting and reflecting on the day. And of course, they visited the Foundation headquarters and Elks National Memorial!
